Alice contacted me about doing a maternity and newborn photo session just weeks after they made their move to Houston from the Dallas area. Taylor, her husband, had just accepted a residency in the med center, she was just over 30 weeks pregnant, and they were both willing to venture into the city to see a piece of Houston that they had not yet explored. I immediately thought of the Menil for one of our locations, as it is a truly unique collection of art unique to Houston with some amazing grounds to boot! When Alice asked if they could bring their dog, I gave an enthusiastic YES over email! We. love. dogs.
And perhaps even more exciting than having a dog at the photo shoot? They chose to wait until the baby was born to find out the gender! During the maternity session, Alice told me she thought it was a boy, and Taylor’s vote was a girl.
Well, friends, Alice and Taylor just welcomed their baby boy into the world 2 weeks ago! I guess Alice won, but who’s keeping score? 😉
